Experiential therapy, which was developed in the 1970s, is a therapeutic approach that encourages patients to identify and address hidden or subconscious issues through a range of active experiences. At Canaan Valley Farm, our activity therapy staff has more than 10 years of experience. We have over a dozen of low ropes courses — some of which are permanently set up outdoors and some portable to be able to do the activity indoors in inclement weather.
